Visit from Aunt Lauren!

Brayden loves to smile and play with his aunt Lauren. She took some amazing photos of him.

Aunt Time!!!

He enjoyed spending time with Aunt Lauren and her boyfriend Nathan

He knows Nana and smiles when she walks in the door.
Could there be a happier Island Man?

Now just being cute!

What a sweet little boy!

He's getting pretty good at eating cereal, one of his many skills.

Play time with Lucy, AKA future wife

Brayden was very excited today to play with Lucy. She lives in Idaho these days, so he is always eager to visit with her. He tried to kiss her, but ended up giving her a love lick.

    They are a cute pair!

He loves holding hands with Lucy!

Being cute

Brayden has just learned to roll from his tummy to his back. He'll do anything to escape tummy time! On Sunday he was being his cute self, so of course I had to document it!!

Enjoying Life

Friday night we loved having Scott home. We headed to Pittock Mansion for a picnic dinner. Brayden loved watching us eat as the sun set. He entertained himself sucking on his hands for dinner. He still loves those hands!!!

He loves to stand!!!

Yes ladies, I'm standing!

And ladies, this is my house!

Finally ladies, I can fly!

Did I mention I'm single?

On Saturday he tried rice cereal for the first time! He loved it!

Beware wings! Here comes Brayden!!!

Surgery Update from May 3rd

We are so happy to have the surgery behind us. As of right now Brayden has recovered well and continues to have his kidney work better than before the surgery. He goes in for an ultrasound in a month to see if the swelling around the kidney is better. He is one brave little boy!

Brayden was happy to wear a green gown, not the girly pink one he's had to wear before.

After surgery he was already trying to get his hand in his mouth, even though he was still sleeping!

We pray that this chapter in our life is closing and he just has to get monitored. We'll find out if a month if  that prayer gets answered.

Austin, Texas

Our next stop was Austin, Texas. After Scott worked a few days there we had a few days as a family. Scott was very excited about good BBQ. We went to the Salt Lick the first night.
We decided that if you BYOB to the restaurant, and are served on picnic benches, then a baby can play on the table!

But Brayden kept getting side tracked. (He's his father's son!)
The next day we went to lunch at a place called the Oasis. It was beautiful!

We then went to watch the bats fly out from under the bridge. We got there 2 hours early, oops!

The next day was perfect for walking around the University of Texas. We went to wings at Pluckers.

Brayden really wanted to read the menu and impress his dad with his wing knowledge!

That night we walked 6th street.

We really enjoyed Austin. We spent a lot of time outside and enjoying all Austin has to offer.
