Father's Day

Father's Day was spread out over the weekend, which means a weekend of fun!!!

B was thrilled to have Chelse come hang out with him as we headed to a brew tour, Portland Style. This is basically what a drunk person thought of one night and now is making a lot of money. My parents, along with a few friends, all bike pedaled ourselves to 3 different breweries. There is a person steering the bike, and unfortunately for him, he can't drink. The good news is that we stayed alive thanks to Sober Driver.

I think we maxed our speed at 10 miles an hour. We might not have been speedy, but we looked cool!

First stop, Pints! 

We had 30 minutes per location. Also, drinking and pedaling is a no no, so we had to chug quickly.

Next Stop, Old Town Pizza and Brewery.

Final destination: Deschutes Brewery!

We had a grand adventure. It was a bummer we weren't living downtown any longer, we were sleepy and mom had to stop drinking after one beer to be our driver home.

Once home B was excited to help us celebrate! Pizza and wine was a great way to end the evening.

After a family breakfast and church we headed over to Pine Shed BBQ. I know what you are thinking, no wings? Scott surprised us all by his choice. The BBQ was fantastic and loved by all!

I don't mean to brag, but B has a pretty fantastic Dad.

B's busy life

One of the many things I love about my son is how much he enjoys other kids. Lucky for us we have some amazing friends to hang out with.

Owen turned 5, which means an amazing Ninja party was created to celebrate him. Here is B playing dodge ball with his friends.

While everyone else played a game, he was thrilled with a balloon. I guess there is a pretty good age gap between 5 year old games and ones 3 year olds play. B has such a good time running around and playing, even if he was totally clueless.

When the Driscolls throw a party they do it well!!!

The kids all made sushi (rice crispy treat with fruit roll up and a Swedish fish.) So creative!

Then they made an art project that created a ninja!

B was so excited to give Owen his gift! 

This party was amazing and B was thrilled to be a part of it.

At MOMS group the kids ran around and played in the water. Bathing suits optional.

Later that night B went and explored his fort.

We love the green space behind our house.

Inspired by the fun B had outside we decided to go on a hike as a family. These nature trails are 5 minutes from our house. How amazing is that?!?

It was pretty warm here in Portland. We planned a day at a splash pad here in Lake Oswego. Unfortunately the weather cooled off, so the kids ran around in 65 degree weather.

Gabby and Livvy are wonderful friends! B enjoyed running around and having a picnic with them.

B was very excited to go and sing "Happy Graduation To You" to Tyler, our friend's son who just graduated high school. B LOVED the noodles at the party!

B is a good helper these days. He likes to help Dad whenever tools are required.

He also likes to help Scott ice his foot. (It's part of Scott getting his foot back in running shape.)

B loves going to the zoo! He brought his monster truck to show the animals.

After swim lessons B insisted on going to the outdoor pool. Apparently in 63 degree weather you get the pool all to yourself.

B has grown up with these 3 cuties! Olivia, Shayne and Lucy are pretty fun to play with!

The kids played really well together!

We are blessed to have so many friends to play with. Raising kids isn't always easy. It's wonderful to have a community of people to learn from and share this experience with.
