Arcadia Michigan

We joined Scott's parents and brother's family for a beautiful week in Arcadia Michigan. We arrived a day early in Traverse City to try and get settled while adjusting B's sleeping schedule 3 hours.
That evening we went out to a pub where B learned how to eat ribs!

The next morning we went on a little walk around town and then headed to Left Foot Charlie, the winery Scott's cousin's own.

B loved playing with his second cousins, Aaron and Ella. Did you know if you yell in a steel vat it is REALLY loud?

We then took the hour drive to Arcadia to begin our week with the family and enjoy the beautiful weather.
B loved there was a piano, but was missing something.....

Oh, a cousin to play it with!!! Good thing Sienna was there.

That evening Scott took B and Sienna on a kayak ride. They LOVED it!

Then Scott tried paddle boarding for the first time. To
all our amazement he owned it.

Kai was busy taking pictures and the older kids were in the boat. How cute is she?!?
This was an almost daily shot I got. B asked for daddy kayak trips daily.

Loving Lake Michigan

Brothers hard at work.
These two were pretty darn cute together all week.

I tried and loved the paddle board.

Three generations.
B loves that Papa will get on the ground and play whatever B wants. he adores his Papa.

(Cute at age 3, not cute at age 15)

Uncle Steve with B.

While we mainly stayed at the camp there was a place Scott remembered from his youth. We of course had to visit the ice cream store.

Look what we found on the way back form the ice cream store....
Papa and puzzle time!!

We ate three meals a day family style, which was very fun for B to sit with his cousins.

In the mornings B would go to the kids program. This left Scott and I a solid 1.5 hours of kid free time. I think the last time I rode a bike I was in college in Germany. I couldn't find  the Hofbrauhaus in Arcadia.

One night Scott and I left for an hour or so to a golf course called Arcadia Bluffs. The beer tasted better due to the amazing views.

Mic and Dan

B loved the rocking chairs and the swings that faced the water.

Owning the basketball court.

Kai is a very active and smart two year old on top of being really cute!

We attempted to escape for a lunch. It turned out to be a very wet and rainy adventure.

Looking for ants!
Working out with Dad.

One of B's favorite places to play.

One evening was a carnival night. B LOVED it!!!!

Look who was in charge of a booth!

I just love this little guy.

One of my favorite memories was B getting ready for talent night. He told us his class was going to preform and then he got to say his name in the mike. The reality was that the class sang and that was it. So after we realized how sad B was going to get Scott got Brayden on the list for 'acts.' B went confidently up there and told everyone his name. He was so happy you would have thought he won the lottery.

Formal night

Brushing your teeth with cousins is the best.

Grandparents with the grandchildren.

While I was still recovering from the previous ride and the sore rear we convinced Steve and Kama to escape one morning with us. ( No, I did not tell them how sore they were going to be, I let them figure that one out as a 'surprise!')

We left after a wonderful week in the sun and with family. B keeps talking about Arcadia and time with his cousins and family. We will be coming back!
