Life In Indy

Since we have been traveling so much I decided to capture what life in Indy is now like with a two year old. It's not always as thrilling and glamours as you might think. But, there are moments that are fun and I feel blessed to be a stay at home mom.

We invite fun friends like the Leets over for dinner. B loves having others to play with!

I host Toddler Happy Hour for the moms in the neighborhood.

More Play dates!

We love having Isla here to play. B and Isla play really well together.

Walks!

Our neighborhood is amazing. I try and get B out when the weather allows.

Or until the wagon Dad put together breaks.

Silly Time!

This is the time we spend counting down the minutes until Dad gets home. Some days silly time seems like forever!

Gymboree!!

Weekly we to Gymboree, some times we do the art class.

Brayden loves it, but he hates leaving not having shot a few baskets.

We try and meet up with other friends like Graham there.

Swing Time!

                                  B loves to swing! At the park this is his favorite activity.

Birthday Party!
We now actually have a few friends, and even better, friends who have birthdays to go play at!!! Isla just turned two!

Swim Lessons!

Scott is a very good sport and is taking swim lessons with B. (I believe B is the one taking the lesson, but I'm not totally sure Scott isn't getting a few pointers himself.)

For 30 minutes B tends to cling to Scott like a little barnacle. The only time he really loves is splashing time. The next week when I took him he did a lot better. I think he's just wanting to go back and play at the Great Wolf Lodge and get out of the boring pool.

Pacers Game!

Scott's company has a suite at the Pacer's Game. We were lucky enough to score some tickets to go see a game. This sort of feels like cheating on our Blazers, but the suite has free beer, so I'm okay with it.

Loving life!

B wanted to fit in with the rest of us. He found an empty beer can and pretended to be cool.

I dearly miss being at home in Portland. There is no doubt that I'm looking forward to that next phase in our life. In the meantime we are making the most of this opportunity here in Indy. As you can see it's not that bad. :)

Great Wolf Lodge - Ohio

For Christmas Scott surprised us with a family get away to Great Wolf Lodge. I've never been to Ohio or The Great Wolf Lodge, so I was excited!

B was really excited to get in the water.

Poor kid just had ear surgery, so he had to wear a band around his head to keep the ear plugs in. The good news about that is it made him easy to spot!

He loved it in the water park. The fountains and puddles entertained him for hours. I decided he liked it so much because there was a fine mist from the water play structure and puddles everywhere, so it reminded him of Portland.

I found the boys in the hot tub playing a game of 'Spash Brayden In The Face With Water.' Brayden was loving it!

That evening we went to the show where you learn the Great Wolf Lodge Howl and have a character read a story during the pajama party.

(I stared labeling the pictures I took of B and I through the year. I lost count so I'm saying this is picture 35/52)

Beware the next two pictures are extremely cute!

After being so darn cute B saw a HUGE cookie in the store window. We normally don't give him sugar, but hey, we were on vacation. It turned out all he wanted was the M&Ms. At the age of two he'd never had M&Ms before. This is a big rite of passage for Roths. Scott is an avid fan of peanut M&Ms.

The next morning we were back and the park living the dream!

This was a great family trip. We had so much fun watching B explore here and brave the waters. This was an excellent gift Scott!

Roth Christmas and New Year!

After our busy travels we were back to our normal routine..... for three days. This a very common site at our house. Needless to say he dresses himself.

After three days at home we drove to St. Louis to visit all the cousins and have the Roth Christmas.

Brayden decided to tuck himself in to bed once he got to his grandparent's house. Then he convinced Papa to do the same!

Then it was Grandma's turn!

The next day Uncle Steve's Chex mix arrived with the rest of the Roths and Kindlers!

B loves his time with his older cousin Emmett.

We needed some 'adult time' so we headed to a local bar with two of Scott's best friends from college. I loved catching up with the wives while Scott, Tony, and Mike relived their 'glory days'

Then it was time for the Roth Christmas. B was attached to Papa during the opening process.

B loved playing with Uncle Steve's hat. Good thing Uncle Steve is really patience, because B loved to keep putting the visor on and off. 

Brayden is in love with trains. The battery operated Thomas The Train was a hit!

We surprised Emmett with a matching shirt.

The next morning Mickey asked us all to join her and her friends for her workout. So in two car loads we all got there to sweat it out to a DVD with Mickey and her friends. 

Thankfully Aunt Sue took care of B while Scott and I cleaned up and packed up.

We always treasure the time that can get all of us together under the same roof. It's loud, but a lot of fun.
