Brayden has become a toddler in the past week. He is walking, making many animal noises, and got his first real haircut. I'm going to take a moment and say the haircut was Scott's idea. For the past 7 months I have been risking Brayden's life attempting to cut his hair in the bathtub. The risk of soapy scissors dropping, a baby turning his head, mixed with having no clue how to cut hair wasn't paying off. So I conceded to Scott's request and I have to admit, he looks a lot better. Who know Scott was such a guru of toddler hair.
Brayden loves to play with his friends Owen and Landon. He loves to go play at their house and play with all the big boy toys. Owen is very kind and shares all his cool toys really well. Here they are having home made mac and cheese and being big boys.
Once Landon got up from his nap Brayden admired his standing skills. Brayden pondered the thought that this baby is younger with him, yet has mastered some really tough skills. He was impressed.
A few days ago Brayden was really good and quiet in his play area. I took full advantage of doing some chores while he was so happy. Once I came to check on him I realized why he was so happy.....
When he's not busy busting up his play area, he loves to help me in the kitchen.....
This smile sure is cute, and seems to follow a mess........ He better not give me this smile after he wrecks the car, I might not be able to be mad.
I took B in to get his haircut, despite my reservations. Brayden was a bit scared when we walked in the door and all he could hear was a child SCREAMING! I told him to play it cool. Once he realized he could watch Elmo, he kept himself pulled together. He jumped in his sweet ride and manned up for this rite of passage.
He was composed and cool throughout the whole experience.

He decided he really liked the hair cut, once he had time to get used to it.
Later that night I felt him pull on my leg. I thought he was smiling because his haircut was so cute. Then I realized he had found my bikini top and was having a fun time walking it around the house.
B was eager to show off his new do to one of his favorite ladies, Shayne.
She thought he was pretty hot.
The two of them play so well together. Brayden is a whole 6 weeks older, so he likes to teach Shayne things, because she is younger.
She was very kind and shared toys with Brayden.
Brayden found my iphone and was eager to show it to Shayne.
She was captivated, but not by the phone.
She started to kiss Brayden, something we know was bound to happen sooner than later.
She's serious about it!
Finally B just gave in.
I thought they were super cute, playing by themselves. I went to go get a snack prepared.....

Look what they had done while was gone! I guess since they kissed earlier it wasn't such a biggie, but still.....
I decided to separate the two love birds. Look what then transpired.
So, Brayden is putty in her little hands. They really enjoyed drawing and stickers.
Ries was just thrilled both of them were controlled and couldn't chase her any longer.
One Shayne left he got dressed and had an awesome lunch.
After lunch I changed his diaper and got him ready for nap time. While getting his room ready he toddled down the hall. Hence, the lack of pants. He went to one of his favorite places in the house, Ries' toys. You can see she's not too thrilled with this.
She was happy to see the roomba attack the thief of all her toys.
This is a very common pose in our house. I love it. He looses balls under things and has to go looking for them.
Brayden is one busy little guy. He is signing a lot more and can do a variety of barn yarn animal sounds. Of course he never does them on command, but on occasion you will hear them while he's reading, or chasing you around the couch as a dino. ( I know dino isn't a typical barnyard sound, but he's really good at it!)
