FRIENDS!

Brayden is one social guy. I'm not sure where he gets it from. :) We are actually attempting to teach him personal space because he gets too excited about being with friends when it comes to 'chatting' with them.

We love our MOMS group!

How many kids can Tammy pull?

After our kids go to bed we have met monthly to create freezer meals together.

We love hosting dinners. Our neighbors the Siegels and friends the Pattons joined us.

I convinced Scott to help me watch a few kids to give some parents a date night. Some chaos, a lot of fun, and memories ensued.

It always cracks me to to see Payton with Brayden's 'little sister' doll. (Yes, he thinks this doll is his baby sister.) Twins!
Scott gave Payton toys while he cooked......
But this is what she really wanted.
After play time, dinner, drawing, and bath time it was movie time!

Shayne wanted to sit with "Daddy."
Whose it tired?
Then Lucy decided it was time to sit with Scott. It was cute to see them want their turn to snuggle.
The next day it was time to celebrate Evelyn's first birthday! B loved it!!!
He always loves time with Layna and Reese!

Happy birthday sweet Evie!

One day these two are going to figure out they aren't related! They love each other.
Payton didn't want to miss out on the fun!
I got to spend some time with two of my dear roommates from college! Kid free too!

Preschool

I don't know who is more excited about preschool, Brayden or myself. He is going one morning a week, for a few hours.
This is the 'All About Me' star that he made. His first homework.
When we got to school B jumped right in! He didn't even want to say bye!
When I picked him up he was so excited about his snowman he made!

Living the Good Life

It's been wonderful to have Scott around more. He is traveling a bit less, which is a score for B and I.

We love the Children's Museum!

Any chance Scott gets to go to wings he is in. Add our dear friends Kelsey and Josh and we can't say no. The problem at Pok Pok was getting enough food for Scott, Kelsey, Josh, and Brayden. No one wanted to part with wings, so they ordered 4 plates. Epic!

Thanks to our friends the West family we were given suite tickets to the Blazers. We of course we thrilled!
It's too bad the Alicia was hanging out with us that night and was forced to come too.

Scott had to leave to Indy right after the game, but we were in!
The West family came to say hi! Gabby showed Brayden were the binoculars were. This was a whole bunch of fun for B!

This is a too cute a picture not to post. This is what happens when B licks his ice cream bowl.

Brrr

I realize that for most of the country it's pretty darn cold. For Portland it's been delightfully dry with a cold breeze every now and then. The poor teachers and kids would have snow days if there was actual precipitation.

We bundled up and walked to our neighborhood Starbucks. If B is good he gets a water with a straw. I know, we are big spenders. But on this special day he got to chose a treat. I'm starting to think he gets a special treat more often then not with Scott, but I'm sticking to the water scheme for as long as I can.

Of course Wall-E joined us in the wagon and at Starbucks.

Scott had a fun idea of going to Mt. Hood for some sledding. The problem with his thought process was it was New Years Day morning. We are old enough to know better than to schedule anything New Years Day morning. But, I surprised Scott and rallied quite well for our family day at the mountain.

B was in heaven! "Again!!!"  he would scream before the ride was even over.
The look on his face is priceless. He just loved the snow.
We learned that morning also that he had outgrown his boots and bibs. So good old rain boots did the job of covering his ankles and feet.
Proof I made it too.
Speaking of cold things, Scott just got an ice cream maker and is making amazing ice cream. If we have gained 25 pound by February you all know why. This is my view at night as Ries tries to eat Scott's ice cream when he isn't looking. Apparently she likes espresso flavor as well.
