The Biltmore in Phoenix

As a family we traveled to Phoenix for a conference to support Luis Palau, a Christian speaker. While there we learned a lot about his ministry. After a weekend at the conference we stayed a few extra days to enjoy the amazing 80 degree weather. This was Brayden's 17th and 18th flight!

Even thought we didn't let him in the fountains, he had fun other ways!

What baby?

We ate out at a few fun places. This pizza joint had a white cat called Mozzarella, which Bradyen loved. He got freaked out by the statue behind his seat, so we had to move it to prevent tears.

We went with our friends Micheal and Chante. They are big into hiking! We hiked Camelback, but weren't told this:

Trail Length: 1.2 miles

                                                            Elevation Gain: 1,264 feet

                                                               Summit: 2,704 feet

                                                                Difficulty: Strenuous

This equals not fun for Allie, who isn't a fan of rock climbing, especially when her only child is on her husband's back.

Brayden was up for the hike!

About a mile into it we had done 3 good climbs over rocks and I decided that I was done! So the Roths stopped, while the Larlees climbed to the top. We didn't take a picture of me because I was too unhappy. So Scott posed for a victory pose at the Roth Summit!

Brayden's highlight was swimming each day. He spent 1.5-3 hours in the pool a day. He loved spending time in the pool with Scott!

Scott loved spending time with his beer I mean Brayden in the pool.

Three hours in the pool will make a cute baby!

He's ready to go back in!!!!

I know many of you wonder where we keep Brayden when we travel. Wonder no longer. Yes, that is the mini bar above his crib. We needed the space in the fridge for his baby food.

It was a great trip of fellowship, friends, and great weather. Now only if we had gotten a tan line.......



Brayden goes BIG

At 11 months it's about time that Brayden gets a job. He sleeps the day away, and then when he gets up all he does is play. It's been a good 11 months, but not he needs to pull his weight around here. He's now working at Puddletown, an agency for kids. Sure, I need to drive him to work, but at least he's going to be doing something outside of crawling after the cat! I now need to channel my inner stage mom......

What 11 month old boys do

Brayden has been one busy boy these days. The new found freedom of army crawling and crawling means that all lint balls or carpet fuzz are goals to reach and eat. The plant has been one tasty treat, as has cat food. The bump and bruises he wears with pride show the many missed attempts when reaching for a toy or cat. To others it look like the cute innocent boy lives is a dangerous house. At moms group we compare bumps and scratches, bragging about how our child got them.

Brayden has found his calling in life: destroying toilet paper.

Once ridding the bathroom of the dangerous paper, he often likes to brush his two teeth.

Ries, or Kitty, is is favorite thing in this house.

Ries has started to love to stay at the grandparents house when we are on vacation. She gets wet food and no babies! When we come to pick her up she has learned the stairs are her friends.

Brayyen loves to go on runs with his Dad. When he's a really good boy his dad dresses him to match his stroller.

Being a man in the Roth household means knowing your wings. Brayden is learning early how to hang with the guys at Fire On The Mountain.

Being a Roth man can be fun, but dating Lucy, that's a whole different story. Here he has asked her on a walk to Starbucks. Since neither of them can walk, both moms have to push them.

Since he's still underage to be dating, he can only go out in a date with Lucy when they are being supervised.

Brayden is becoming a very independent little guy. He loves to explore and get into things. He is very aware of people and things around him. It's very fun to see him learn about the world around him.
