April Activities

April has been an eventful month for us.
Brayden had his 4th surgery, which took place at Riley hospital. Everything went really smoothly and his incisions are healing really well.
I couldn't resist.
Luckily the kittens were helpful with the healing process.
B wanted to teach Baby how to drive his new car.

B spends a lot of his free time playing with the 'titties.'

As you can see hey are really stressful.

After three days of laying low for recovery we headed to the library. B insisted he wear his hat. He looks so old.

It was really good to see Sebastian at the library.

One of Brayden's favorite activities is looking for 'ebugs.' (ladybugs)

Grace and B get along really well. B gives her treats, then she bumps him and....

he always spills a few extra.
She puts up with a lot from him.

The next few pictures capture a phase in B's life. I signed him up for soccer lessons. He loved them and enjoyed kicking a ball.

However he didn't follow directions, went after others soccer balls, and threw a few fits. After spending more time in time out than on the soccer field I kicked us out of soccer practice. Apparently he's not ready and I'd much rather take him to art and play classes at Gymboree then go through another soccer practice like that one.
After a long nap after failing soccer practice we went to the park. B found his mittens and insisted on wearing them to the park.
The kitten are 4 weeks old now and very busy and fun.
They LOVE people and can't wait to sit on you when you open the door.

Some of them are getting a bit more adventuresome too.
Typically it's kitten chaos.
They are at a stage where they love to climb. Thus, you have to be on guard else you will be wearing kitten pants.
Meet Rocco, our most active kitten.
Kingston our sweet little runt.

Squeaker, the first one to start the playing, the first one to fall sleep once other join in.

Baby, the fluffiest and sweetest kitten.

Hope, loves to follow all the others around like a shadow.

Lucy, the happiest kitten, but often beats to her own drum.

Tank, the big boy of the group.

Joy, the one who loves to cuddle and give kisses.

Grace, AKA momma kitty.

To prove that we haven't turned 100% into the cat family, and we do have a life, here we are at the Pacers first playoff game against the Magic.

In May Scott starts to travel a lot more and we gear up for the pool opening soon!

Easter in St. Louis

One perk of living in Indy is that the Roth side of the family is driving distance away. So on Friday we packed the car and took a 4.5 hour drive to St. Louis.

The next morning we went to Purina Farms, yes the dog food brand, for some fun! It's a free farm that allows you to visit animals, and then see a dog show.
Once there we jumped on the wagon ride. We got a 10 minute ride that toured the parking spaces. However we were behind a tractor, which is cool if you are two.
Sienna and I sure had a great time together!
The boys in disbelief that this ride was so lame.
I love his picture. B had no clue who this was or why we demanded a picture with him.

To the petting area

" I love to eat bacon."
Why are you stuck in there?
B had a good lookout for the milking presentation.
Kai was thinking milk is her favorite drink!
Sienna was brave and decided to milk the cow.
That prompted B to want to try!
Cousins being cute!
Both are two years old.
Snack time as we wait for the dog show.
We were impressed, but I still have so desire to own a dog.
After a wonderful morning at the farm, Papa and Grandma came to visit!
Mickey made some hard boiled eggs for the kids to dye. It was about that time Kama and I decided to go on a run. (Side note, we ran 2.4 miles, the boys never thought we'd make it, there was beer at the end of the run.)
It was B's first time dying eggs!
Someone was smart and saved Sienna's shirt from the dying fun.
We all had dinner together before meeting the next day for Easter.
The next morning we headed to 8am church. I know you never thought that sentence would come out of my mouth!
This is the fanciest I've ever seen this group!
B was pretty darn cute in his little tie.
Once home Kai took a nap while B and Sienna got to open their Easter baskets.
Sienna came to help B out because he was so darn slow.
After many shots this is as good as it gets. The kids had 75 eggs to find, all of them we 'hidden' in plain sight on the lawn. Would B be better at hunting this time?
He started out strong.
Now he has more eggs then at the last hunt.
Rolling down the hill provided to be more fun than getting eggs.
Meanwhile Sienna was doing a wonderful job!
B decided to play with a little toy car in an egg......
Then he made his escape! Luckily Aunt Kama was on to him.
Sienna dominated the egg hunt. Her 65 eggs to Brayden's meager 10.
We dumped all the eggs in a big pile and the kids were very sweet sharing all the eggs.
I was impressed how kind each one was, not wanting each other's items.
After a successful Sienna egg hunt we headed to Papa and Grandma's house. Who knew there were eggs to hunt there! This was Brayden's last chance to improve his skills.
With Papa and Grandma's help B did better....
That is until the neighbor's dog came out and B got distracted. After picking up all the eggs Sienna decided to join B.
Once again they were very cute sharing Sienna's eggs the eggs.
B decided to give a crack at taking pictures, you know, be on the other side of the camera.
Did you know cameras go on your head when taking pictures?
After all the egg hunting the kids each got their own Easter basket with fun items just for them! What lucky kids!
With so many fun things happening the kids just needed to sing about it.
After a well prepared meal thanks to Mickey and Dan we needed to head out.
What? I just got up from nap time, you can't be leaving!
While Kai might have missed the hunt, she knows where the goods are at!

We love that we get to spend so much time with the Roth family now that we are on living closer. It is so much fun to see B loving being with his cousins.
