Coast with Great Uncle Chris

Brayden's Great uncle came to visit all the way from Greenwich. Great Uncle Chris greeted Brayden at the airport with a Mets teddy bear. He's getting this little one started early.

Uncle Chris spent time talking football with Brayden.

To show his support, Brayden wore Great Uncle Chris's Army hat.

He also enjoyed time looking at Nana's jewelry.

Bradyen loves his Mets Bear. He is confused if he should cheer for the Mets or Cardinals. All he knows is that his dad taught him not to cheer for the Fubs, I mean Cubs.

Scott made his famous wings for the first time in years. They were wonderful.

Look What I Can Do!

Brayden has become mobile! He's one busy boy now. He can army crawl and roll to most everything. Ries has a new reason to run now. The problem is that Ries is so interested in Brayden that she can't stay away. They are quite the pair!!

Brayden has two teeth now. He is starting to really enjoy teething biscuits.

Two Teeth!

Brayden has finally got teeth! Sure, you have to really be looking for them, and they aren't useful yet, but they are teeth!


The week started out great as the family explored Alberta street in Portland. We decided to stop at The Tin Shed for lunch. Brayden loved it there.

He enjoyed his own cup of water. (Good boys get water if they behave well in our family. That's what we plan to say to him when he's older. Thus he feels like he gets something special, and it's free!)

He really liked sitting on the bench made for little kids.

On Monday Nana came with us to baby time at the library. I'm not sure who had more fun, Brayden or Nana!

On Tuesday Grandma took some time off work to spend with Brayden. We went to Willamette Park and played on swings and slides. He loved looking and playing in the water with Grandma.

On Wednesday he plotted a sneak attack on Ries. He sure loves walking around the house in this car!

Later that day we went to a playground. He loves to slide! I love his hair after a few rides!

Someone commented that he has so much hair these days it's like a wig. Between that comment and the slide picture I decided he needed a little trim.

This week he spent a lot of time with dogs at my friend's houses. He has decided that he likes the little dogs, if 1. he can go to them, 2. they lick his feet, 3. if they don't lick him in the face. #3 will cause many tears if done.

He finished the week at a coffee shop with Mom and Dad. He was a good boy, so he got water and a straw. He was pleased!

Fun Labor Day Weekend

We have had a great weekend spending time together. We have been to a few restaurants, coffee shops,  parks, zoos, and play grounds. We are taking advantage of the long weekend and blue skies.

We took or first trip as a family to the zoo. Brayden doesn't really see the animals yet, but he loves his time with dad!

The first (and only) animal Brayden watched was the Ocelot. Probably because we were telling him it was a kitty, much to the dismay of the other parents attempting to tell their child the kitty was called at ocelot!

When he got home he wanted to show Ries how much he loves kitties!

Can you see the fur on him? He wanted to kiss her, but he basically sucked on her.

On Saturday Scott took Brayden to a Beavers baseball game. He met Island man and Mark for the game.

On Monday we went our to the park with Island Man, Grandma, and Nana.

He enjoyed the walk and loved being in the fountain.

After a stellar three hour nap we headed out the park. He loves going to the park these days.

After such a wonderful day babies sometimes need a drink. Good thing there are bubbles around Portland and Scott has shown Brayden how to drink from them!
