Here is a VERY rare photo. Brayden NEVER sleeps on flights. I guess flight number 32 was boring for him.
We started our journey in Chicago with our family, the Kindlers. Grant was playing in a tournament, which his team ended up winning. I can't help but think or cheering helped ensure a victory.
B was so inspired by Grant he wanted to play too. Lucky for him Aunt Susan and Rachael were ready to play with him.
Riddle: How many Kindlers does it take to help Brayden hit a baseball?
Since we were in Chicago we needed to eat hot dogs for dinner. Here is Brayden not eating his first ever hot dog.
He thinks it's funny I'm attempting to cram a hot dog down his throat.
Have I mentioned how HOT is was? B was on an all water diet that evening.
The next night we took Bradyen on his first firefly hunt. When I go visit I LOVE catching fireflies, so it was fun to introduce B to it.
Emmett showed Brayden the ropes.
Rachael has amazing bug catching skills.
'Why are all these adults creeping around in the dark clapping their hands?'
Off to join the hunt.
We caught 4 poor bugs. Can you imagine flashing your behind in attempt to find a mate and then get surrounded by sweaty hands and then thrust in a bug catcher? What a bad end to a very hopeful night. The good news is that we did release them, so maybe they can find true love later that night.
The victory semi circle.
Boys lounging.
The Kindlers love the pool. We had so much fun joining them there!
The next day we headed to a park to play in the fountains. Before I could get his shirt and hat on he took off after the ball.
He loves kicking balls. How can he run around when it's SO HOT!
Aunt Susan is so much fun to play with!!!
Bradyen wanted to look more like Grant.
Emmett and B enjoyed jumping on the beanbags.
We had the Fire soccer game on. We were looking for Tom, Anna, and Grant in the crowd.
Brayden found his first rolly polly bug. He was disappointed it didn't stay in a ball.
The last night in Chicago we went to Scott's favorite pizza joint, Home Runn Inn.
B loved the cheese sticks!
B was very excited that Uncle Tom, Anna, and Grant came back in time for pizza.
Once home B played an epic game of baseball with his cousins.
B took his best shots.
But he preferred to do it his way.
Good thing Grant was there to help!
What is the best way too cool down in HOT Chicago? Watermelon!!
The cousins!!
(We missed you Kai and Sienna!)
We also spent time in Indy, home sweet home?
B and I explored the Children's Museum in Indy.
He loved the sand box!
Yeah! A water table!!!!
Don't mind me.
Driving another vehicle!
Yeah!!! A kitty!!!
Okay, another kiss!
One more and we have to go!
Seriously, this is getting embarrassing.
That evening we did what very few people in Indy did, headed out in the heat for a baseball game. Did I mention it felt like 108 degrees outside? Scott's company was very thoughtful and allowed B and I to go so we could meet the people he works with.
Needless to say Brayden loved the game. Scott's boss Tim even got him his own official baseball!
*Cheering*
On the way to the airport B insisted he wanted to sit by himself.
This is week #11 picture!
He sure loves to fly!
Here are the boys on the flight back. One is watching Sesame Street the other is working. You guess who is doing what.
We had a great trip. Did I mention that it was hot?
