We headed to St. Louis for a week before the holidays. We stayed with Kama and Steve which was great because we got a lot of quality time with them and their daughter Sienna. Brayden loved his mornings playing with Sienna and all her toys. We saw Scott's parents almost daily and also the Kindlers, Scott's sister and kids. Brayden loved being with all the kids.
Before Brayden could go out and play, he needed a bath. It was so much fun with Sienna!
Brayden wore one of Scott's baby outfits for this visit. I know you wanted to know where you could go get your own pair of scottie dog pants.

Emmett was great older cousin. He was very thoughtful and sweet with Brayden.
Grandma Mickey made a monkey cake for Brayden's first birthday. She did an amazing job.
He couldn't wait to dig in! He is getting used to this cake thing!
Brayden found a new toy, a spoon. Despite all his birthday presents and Christmas presents, he really enjoys a spoon. He was showing off his spoon skills to Emmett.
Brayden loved laughing with Grant. He could crack B up!

Brayden loved opening gifts. He is going to be disappointed when he realizes that he doesn't get to open gifts every week.

Brayden did give up his spoon for an empty beer can. When in St. Louis you drink what they drink.
The next morning we headed out with Steve, Kama, and Sienna for breakfast out. It was in the 30's so we suited up!
It's a good thing that Great Uncle Chris got him a hat for his birthday!

While at the St. Louis Bread Company Sienna and Brayden shared everything they could find.
Sienna is such a great older cousin. She is extremely smart and very sweet.
Uncle Steve is practicing holding two kids. We are excited to meet Brayden's cousin in June!!!

Later that night we headed to one of Scott's best friend's house. Uncle Mike has two boys and a new little girl. Brayden thought Elise was a babe.
He tried to make a move on her, but Scott was a good chaperon and intervened.
Brayden should be very scared with this duo. It truly amazes me that these guys survived college together. Brayden won't know about their escapades until he's 21. Maybe 21 is too soon......
Brayden wants a little sister, in about five years! :)
Anna was such a great help over the week. Brayden was riding in style!

Once back from the park Brayden rocked another vintage piece from Scott's childhood. It didn't bring him any luck in his card game.
Brayden treasured his time with his Grandpa.
The next morning was the Roth Christmas. We gathered at the grandparents house for family time and presents. The day started out great for B first because he wasn't wearing any more of Dad's old clothes. Second because he got to play with Anna and Grandpa!
Next was tea time with Dad. (I had to document this, it was too cute!)

And was thrilled once again to have a spoon to play with.
Brayden has become a pro at opening gifts. He just doesn't know how to read the cards, so we have to help him with that.
Rachael made him an ornament.
The drum from Grandma and Grandpa was a hit with Sienna and Brayden. While it seemed loud to all of us, it was the start of a rock band for these two cousins.
The Kindlers got sleds, so they pulled Sienna and Brayden around the house!
That evening there was a very important basketball game on, The Bragging Rights Game. Brayden got all dressed up to support Illinois.
Uncle Steve played for Illinois so Brayden really wanted to show his support. (I just love any picture where Scott is the short one!)
Our final day in St. Louis we met up with Scott's best friend from kindergarten and his family. Mitchell is 2 and showed Brayden how to make very cute faces for the camera.
It was great to see TJ and Mary even if it was brief. The stories of TJ and Scott will also not be shared until Brayden is 21. I know they are less harmful than Uncle Mike stories, however we don't want Brayden drinking wilkshakes in middle school like these two did.
On our flight home our little one got pretty sick. It was a long flight back to Portland with a baby with a fever. One of the highlights of the trip was Brayden projectile vomiting on Scott twice on the airplane. Seeing Scott and Brayden attempting to clean themselves in the airplane bathroom was actually entertaining. Despite bringing back some bug, we had a great time seeing dear friends and family.
