Aunt Lauren and Uncle Nathan's wedding!

This past weekend we headed to Lake Tahoe for Aunt Lauren's wedding! There were 22 people there to celebrate their union. A majority of us stayed in a HUGE house that served as home base for the wedding weekend. Scott and I got stuck in the HUGE master bedroom, and of course we put Brayden in the closet to sleep.

Brayden loved time with Uncle Nathan. He has skills with the bubble wand!
B enjoyed having out with Evan over the weekend. They bonded over puffs.

Good thing Nana was there to help with breakfast, puffs aren't that filling.

Luckily adults had Amy cook an amazing brunch, no puffs for us! She made an AMAZING spread.

I warn you, the next picture is intense.....

Showing off her art.

Later that night we headed for a boat ride around Lake Tahoe.

Brayden was very theatrical on the way to the boat, he cried all the way down the dock because he wanted to be in the water. Once on the boat he calmed down.

It was wonderful to sit and enjoy company and the views.

The Bride!

We hope B is with his grandparents!

Great Aunt Sandy and Grandma entertain B.

All partied out, jammie time.

Saturday morning we had a girls brunch to celebrate Lauren the morning of her wedding.

No longer Griffith girls. :(
Mrs. Moussa, Mrs. Roth and Mrs. Griffith
that sounds so old!

Lauren got her hair done at the Ritz Carton, so she needed Amy and I to be her entourage.

Wow, who knew she had the big royal bling on her big day!

Brayden tries to steady his nerves before heading down the aisle.

Snack or rock?

The official wedding photos are on their way, stay posted!!!
The next morning after all was said and done we took the day to recoup and play!
B loved to dig in the sand. He fell in the lake the day before, so he stayed pretty clear of it.

Time with Nana is wonderful!

Getting down to business.

This is the unwelcomed guest Scott and I had to shoo out of the house. It tried to poop on us twice, but we were not threatened. After much effort it flew outside!

Week #6

Time to celebrate Aunt Lauren! All dressed up for the dinner before the 'big day.'

Playing Hookie!

After getting all ready for church we looked outside and Scott called for a hookie day. We headed to the zoo to enjoy God's creations in person. We called my parents to tell them we weren't going to be at church, and being holy, they joined us!
                                                      Brayden loves the penguins!

Next, onto the elephants. He loves to 'talk' to them!

Wake up!

B loves his time with Grandma!

While he's a basketball guy, he really enjoys his music!

Breaking it down!

Island Man shows B a meerkat as B takes a drink break.

It was a beautiful day that God made!

Proud Aunt Moment!!

I have to take a moment to brag about being an aunt to Kai Avery, born today to Steve and Kama! This little girl is a healthy 10lb 8 oz of love! I'm so excited to meet her! I swore it was going to be a boy, but I guess I trust Steve's judgement when it comes to this issue.......

Please note this baby isn't from my sister Lauren who got married two days ago. But, if you want to start a good rumor that would be it! :)

Fun Weekend With Parties and Water!

Brayden was invited to his first big boy party! Owen is now 3 and had a fire truck party! Brayden attempted to keep up with all the big kids at the fire station! It was a really great idea.

He was brave to try and touch all the gear.

He thought the tools were pretty cool too.

Brayden loved this party! Thanks Owen for inviting us!
We have been waiting for this sunny weather! As soon as we learned it was above 70, we thought of the fountains! It was nice this year Brayden can be in them without us holding him us.
This was us last summer......

Now here he is!

He loves to run the water!

He loves to run in general!

Due to his love for running we have to contain him to the fountain. In his defense there were very tempting stairs close by.

Sun is out!

Brayden squeals in delight when a playground is in view. Conversely he is learning to throw fits when leaving playgrounds, he must get that from his father. Currently stairs are his passion. The bummer is that he can't do stairs on his own. This guarantees Scott and I a stair work out whenever we are at the park!

When Scott or I feel the burn of the stairs we put him in the only thing at the park that contain him.

He LOVES digging. It could be bark chips or sand, he's thrilled. Today I caught him digging in our sandy box at home. Most people know it as a litter box. Not good.

The next day we decided to soak in the sun with a walk to frozen yogurt. He loves the sample cups there and we simply love to yogurt. We decided to play soccer in the park blocks to burn off some of his energy.

Once home he decided we wanted to be a big boy and eat what we were.

Dipping in the hummus is a new trick he loves. He doesn't like it when we tell him not to suck the hummus off and redip!

He got so mad at us he decided to make his own 'plate' and go outside in peace.

'Take that parents! I can double dip all I want!'

But then it got lonely, so he had to come back and lick his plate with us!

Thanks to Groupon we have a month membership to Gymboree. This heaven for kids is so much fun. If money weren't an issue we would be members here in a heartbeat.

He loves to climb and tumble.

This is him 'singing' twinkle twinkle little star.

This age is one filled with running, opinions, and learning. I am enjoying the stage, but am having to be a lot more aware of what he's getting into. I have pondered putting a bell on him so I can hear where he is in the house. When it's quiet it's never a good sign. Yesterday, for example I found him sucking on the stick portion in a plunger. The good news, I guess, is that I just bought the plunger. The problem was that he was happy, quiet, and busy, why interrupt that?
